Linger on the front porch.The flowers continue in mass bloom from the abundant rain. The garden view is welcoming. Enjoy one more sip of coffee and the morning breeze.

The morning sun shines bright after an evening of rain. Just as the flowers depend on rain and light to grow, so our souls depend on God’s unfailing light to shine forth in our hearts.

As you tarry in the garden, perhaps the Lord will fill you heart with a new peace and joy. Maybe He will put a new song in your heart, increase your faith, or touch your soul with His undeniable divine presence that sweeps over you like a wave of loving grace.
Waiting on the Lord has a sweet reward.

Let waiting be our work, as it is His. And, if His waiting is nothing but goodness and graciousness, let ours be nothing but a rejoicing in that goodness, and a confident expectancy of that grace. And, let every thought of waiting become to us the simple expression of unmingled and unutterable blessedness, because it brings us to a God who waits that He may make Himself known to us perfectly as the gracious One. My soul, wait thou only upon God!”
Andrew Murray, Waiting on God

Bible Verse

Psalm 27:14 New King James Version (NKJV)
14 Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Isaiah 40:31 New King James Version (NKJV)
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
