Psalm 37:4-5 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord, and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

Proverbs 3:5-6 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding;  6 in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

Sometimes I THINK I know what the desires of my heart are, when in fact at times I’m just not sure! There are endless choices.  God knows the true desire of my heart, and He has promised to grant me that desire! Am I willing to trust Him as He leads me in the direction I need to go, even if the path is unfamiliar and foreboding? Will I be able to do what He has asked of me?

Follow through in God’s grace.

We walk in grace and follow through with the desires of our heart in God’s grace. He has not only promised to give us the desires of our heart, but also to never leave us nor forsake us! As we delight in Him and praise Him, our desires become His desires. Our heart becomes one with our Lord’s heart. Commit daily to walk with Him and trust Him with all of your heart!

Today’s Glory!

I hold the desires of your heart in MY hands. Let me bring those desires of your heart to fruition. Let go, and let me as you loosen the grip of your feeble control! Your attempts to control, are like road blocks to my will. Allow me to prepare your heart and mind. Wait in silent anticipation, knowing that I am YOUR GOD! Trust me, my Beloved! Let go of your will and fall headlong into MY will!

Prayer

Father, thank you for your boundless love for us.  Thank you that you care deeply about the direction of our lives and the desires of our heart. Help us to delight ourselves in you, so that we can trust that you will give us the desires of our hearts. We pray for your will in our lives and the grace to carry it out.  Amen

  1. Proverbs 3:5-6 are “touch stone” verses for me. I cling to them in times when I don’t understand things going on in my life. Thanks for sharing!!!
