wildflowers

The wildflowers flourish with abundant rain. Wildflowers bloom in meadows and hay fields. Roadsides provide a steady display of blossoms for travelers.

In the midst of flooding, blooms abound. Rain plus heat equals growth for grass, wildflowers and weeds. Although there has been flooding one thing is certain: we are not in drought.

Of course balance is best when it comes to weather. But that serves to remind me I am not in control. God is. I can pray for rain in due season, and for the devastation that has occurred for so many in flooded areas.

After 7 years of drought, the California high desert floor burst forth with poppies. The resilient poppy seeds waited for the perfect condition to bring forth their glory for all to see.

We too are created with a resilience. Taking the good with the bad is part of life. Maybe God is working the perfect conditions in your life so that you might bloom where you are planted. Perhaps you are in a good season of growth spiritually. Perhaps God is desiring you to draw closer.

Wherever you are, God has more for you. He desires for you to tarry in the garden so that you might know Him more intimately. Tarry until your soul is satisfied. Wait until your heart is filled with praise and adoration for our Awesome God. Let God fill you with the abundance of His loving-kindness, grace, love and peace. Tarry while God shines His light into your heart and soul, so you can flourish and bloom.

Bible Verses

Psalm 63:1-2 New King James Version (NKJV)
63 O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.
2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.

Psalm 89:15-16 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.
16 In Your name they rejoice all day long,
And in Your righteousness they are exalted.

Today’s Glory

My Beloved, enter into the Garden of My Presence. Tarry with me. Wait for me. Allow me to fill your heart and soul with what you need. Linger and walk in the cool morning, and let my light warm your heart, soothe your pains, comfort your hurts. Enjoy my all-encompassing presence as we tarry together.
