Trusting in the True Vine is an ever-present necessity as we journey and abide Christ.
As Jesus followers we first trust Him when He touches our hearts and we say yes to salvation. Accepting Christ takes us from sinner to saint. The leap of faith rescues us from everlasting damnation to a lifestyle of surrender to an all-powerful, loving, and trustworthy God who promises to change us into the likeness of Christ. What a divine promise—our sinful nature made righteous through the blood of Christ.
Our trust grows with each passing storm, as we triumph over the enemy’s attempt to cheat, steal, lie and kill us. Our faith is tried as we traverse the high places of trials. The Lord gives us hinds feet enabling us able to stand firmly on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble.
Trusting in the True Vine with the Next Step
We seek Him on new adventures, or the next step of our journey. Perhaps a new ministry is ahead and we are uncertain of how to proceed. Or maybe life takes a turn. Or a new season awaits: marriage, parenthood, or retirement. What does the future hold?
Often the unknowns ahead bring worry or fear. But as we trust our unknown future to a faithful God, we grow in certainty of His everlasting care.
And just for today we trust God—one step at a time. One day at a time, we trust our Lord to provide all of our needs as we cling to Him.

The vine and the branch illustrate the beauty and simplicity of our existence in Christ. Daily we relinquish control of self, life, and circumstances to an omnipotent God. As we surrender, He is able to work His perfect will in each circumstance. To God be the glory. Amen.
Scriptures for Today
“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth removing obstacles that block your way” (Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP).

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5 NLT).
A Prayer as You Abide in the True Vine
Beloved of God. Just for today, may God guide you as you trust and abide in Him. May He make your path straight and remove the obstacles in your way. Amen.
