The official color of autumn must be pumpkin. I declare it so. Then again so many beautiful colors decorate the landscape in a divergent array each day.The grass changing gradually from green, then gold, rust then finally brown. The trees prepare for the dormant winter. Leaves cling to branches with variegated colors we love. Some finding their destination as they flurry to the ground with the next gust of cool air. The ground cluttered in a new carpet of color.
The beauty of fall flashes comforting color all around.I love the fall tributes in yards and porches with pumpkins, hay bales and corn stalks. My favorite display included two bales of hay end to end with two scare crows on each side. Then a sign that read two bales apart for social distancing. Creativity gets us through the tough times. The display brings a smile to my face each time I pass. The crisp cool air has a chill. Pumpkin lattes available at the coffee shops for a warm treat. All things pumpkin before the winter snap. Yes, the taste and feel of the new season brings welcome change. Maybe it’s time to fill my kitchen with the scent of pumpkin bread, or chocolate chip pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting.
What’s your favorite part of the fall season?
Scriptures for Today
With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people.” (Ephesians 6:18 AMP).
