The Christmas Star shines bright with hope. The star shines for the Magi and shepherds who welcome the promised Messiah. But not just those in the Christmas story, but for all creation and human kind.
The baby Jesus laid in a manger with a humble beginning. The promise of Immanuel, God with us. The hope for all, for all eternity.
The star shines bright for those with riches to share with the worthy King, or those who are poor with a heart full of awe and praise. The wonder of the manger scene is for all.
The star shines bright for those in darkness or a stormy season. Or those who struggle with the recent loss of a loved one. Those facing a decline in health. Or those in Asheville and surrounding areas who have lost all possessions, and homes. So many in need of simple shelter. The efforts of a lifetime swept away in an instant.
The star shines bright for those in troubled relationships or a dash of rejection from someone held dear.
The Christ Child, Immanuel is here for those who are in desperate need of hope for today and tomorrow, then the next day.
The star still guides us to the hope of Christ, who holds our hearts and keeps us in good times and traumatic difficulties.
May you be blessed with hope this Christmas Season as you gaze upon the Christ Child: Immanuel, God with us.
Scriptures for Today—The Christmas Star
“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east and have come to worship Him (Matthew 2:2 AMP).
“After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh” (Matthew 2:9-11 NLT).
