Top of the mornin’ to ya! That being said, Saint Patrick’s Day is a great time to celebrate so many wonderful “green” things, spring included. Many enjoy green beer, green eggs, and if you’re a gardener planting potatoes. My dad always planted potatoes on St Patty’s Day. Naturally, I have tried to conform to tradition.

Not this year. The soil was too wet for planting.

Hopeful, I Turned to the Old Farmer’s Almanac Calendar. According to the almanac the best days for planting root crops were later in the week. No Irish luck there either. We got more rain.

Never the less, the first day of spring has arrived. We can all agree it’s about time.

I’m reminded that God is in charge of the weather and my planting schedule. There is a season to all things. Although I can’t control the weather, I can let go and let God, and enjoy the sunshine when it comes.

Bible Verse

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (NIV)
3 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot.

Psalm 104:24 Amplified Bible (AMP)
24
O Lord, how many and varied are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all;
The earth is full of Your riches and Your creatures.

Today’s Glory

My Beloved, come into the garden of my love and presence. All you have is today. Enjoy this day that I have made. There will be a time to sow your seed and reap the rewards of your labor. This is the time of blooming flowers to make your heart glad. Enjoy the season as it unfolds one day at a time, one blossom at a time. Enjoy the birds as they flurry at nest building and sing their mating songs. Rejoice in this season of new life and fresh beginnings.
