Prayer brings us to the foot of the Cross. Often there is nowhere else to go. We cry out to God in need. To the God who cares and always answers.

We need His help. He knows our need, but asking requires humility. A denouncing of self-sufficiency and acknowledgement of His authority, power, love, provision. Yes, God Almighty reaching from heaven and touching our world. Amen.

At the foot of the cross we bring needs that can only be tended by God. Answered prayer creates trust, and reliance on our Divine Creator and Provider.

Psalm 18:1

I love you fervently and devotedly oh Lord My Strength.” He is all in all, lover of our souls.

Often I take the opportunity to pray for patients in need as they face health concerns.

But now I need it. Facing back surgery has placed me in the vulnerable spot in need of healing and prayer.

My heart is touched by the individuals who care about the pending surgery and the outcome. Our Sunday school class offering unconditional love and genuine concern, along with the many other friends and prayer warriors lifting my needs to God in prayer. Wow. I am covered by the prayers of other believers and my faith soars above the chronic back pain, looking for a healing through surgery. I feel nurtured, loved and cared about.

What a privilege to pray to Almighty God and to pray with and for others in need.

The prayers of the saints champion victories in this fallen world as God tenderly answers each petition.

Yes, in the presence of our Beloved Savior, and at the foot of the cross is the best place to abide. Lets keep praying at the foot of the cross.

Scriptures for Today

“Another angel came and stood at the altar. He had a golden censer, and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints (God’s people) on the golden altar in front of the throne. And the smoke and fragrant aroma of the incense, with the prayers of the saints (God’s people), ascended before God from the angel’s hand.” (Revelation 8:3-4 AMP).

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” (James 5:16 AMP).
