Sunrise in the vineyard

Photo byjanko-ferlic

Morning breaks like the first morning. A new day awakens as God paints a new master piece in the sky. A reminder that He set the planets in motion when time began.

My bay window frames the vineyard slope facing east. The early morning vista intense with oranges and variegated pinks. A beautiful sight provided as the light sustains the vines in His everlasting care. Today and tomorrow.

The Psalmist so beautifully wrote about the dawn awakening with his praise.

What a great way to kick start the day. A jumpstart with a perfect focus: God’s glorious majesty and goodness. And the added bonus of the vineyard view.

What are the wonders beyond the sunrise? Maybe a sun kissed cold winter day that warms as the sun ascends into the noon day.

How will God’s presence manifest today? Who will cross my path? Possibly someone who needs God’s touch?

Hurry and worry can steal the awe. A slower pace aids the approach of pending tasks. And I can let go and let God with worries that rise.

God is worthy of the new song in my heart.

Let praise fill the earth. Amen.

God’s Whisper

My Beloved,

Come and abide this morning. Walk with Me today. So often you run ahead. Tarry with me as the sun awakens the dawn. Worship me in simple thanksgiving. This is the day the I have made. Rejoice.

Love, the Father

Scripture for Today

Paraphrased, Psalm 108:2-5

Awake my soul, the glory within me. Awake instruments of paise. I will awaken the dawn with shouts of praise, giving thanks to you among the people, oh Lord. For your mercy and loving kindness are higher than the heavens and your truth and faithfulness higher than the sky. Be exalted, Oh God, above the heavens. Let your glory fill the earth. Amen

Prayer for You Today

Loved One, May God fill your heart with wonder, awe and praise for His creation and His Majesty. I ask that God would use you this day to proclaim His goodness and salvation to those who cross your path. Amen.
