March winds blow a chiming howl
across the prairie’s golden sway.
The blustery wind brings a cold chill.
Yet the sun beams bright in the cloudy, blue sky.
This gusty March Day blows a wind of hope and heralds the approach of spring.
A recent storm pelted dry dirt with refreshing drops of rain.
But the sun shines bright on this gusty March Day.
The daffodils wake with stems and buds anxious to burst into bloom.
A dormant meadow now boasts of green sprigs ready to supplant a wintery cloak.
Despite the gusts and howls that threat,
the bright sun warms the gardener’s heart. Anxious for spring to hurry on its way.
And the winsome hope defies the cold as the daffodils now open to the sun’s shiny rays.
The seasons come and the seasons go.
And March winds blow in gusty currents flow.
Yes, a blast of cold on this still winter day,
Yet a blissful wish for spring to hasten on the way.
Scripture for Today
“To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 AMP).
Prayer for You Today
Beloved of God, I pray that your March Day would be filled with the hope of spring. May He provide the peace that passes all understanding. May you be filled with the hope of Christ’s salvation and the coming of His resurrection. Amen.
