Matthew 6:25-34 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+6%3A25-34&version=AMP Matthew 6:34 AMP So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Living in the present is a very good place to live. I always need a reminder, though. The New Year and all the reminders of what “needs to be, or what should be, or what I should be” is tempting to post on social media. Especially when everyone else is doing just that. I am not ready for any of that kind of pressure. I already know what I need to do, I just need to do what needs to be done!

Slow motion may get me there faster! I can take the day as it comes. Today the sun is hidden behind the clouds, and the air is so very cold! Thirty degrees to be exact! But there is no wind. There is a beauty in a cold winter day, and I can choose to embrace that.

Just for today I can enjoy the cold weather and the winter hues of gold and brown in the pasture. Taking a walk in the cold is especially invigorating, just as long as I bundle up! I can be in the present and embrace the cold, enjoy the tasks before me and be grateful for the day God has given me. I can enjoy the presence of the Lord right nowhttps://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+16%3A11&version=AMP. Being in the present helps me to simplify whatever may lie ahead in the coming year, and help me narrow my focus on right here, right now. Enjoying the present moment takes practice. I will begin today!

Today’s Glory

Come My beloved into My presence, and into the fullness of My joy! In My presence your joy is complete. Be reminded that My joy is your strength. Go this day, in the present letting go of all worries and casting your cares onto Me. Live in My Presence which is always in the present!
