Writers like words. And I like the power packed word establish. The word appears many times in the Bible. God promises to establish his followers in Christ. Think of that. Established in fellowship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
According to Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary:
establish means to make stable or firm; to fix immovably or firmly; set (a thing) in a place and make it stable there; settle; to confirm.”
Since we are established in Christ by grace and his resurrection power at work within us, we can rest in him as well. He provides strength and confirms that we are His as we abide in him and trust him daily. We are forever immovable. We take our place in him and with him. He establishes our faith as we trust Him daily.
In the words of Solomon, “He is my Beloved and I am His”. A divine union, strong and secure.
God’s Whisper
Come, my Beloved and abide. Let your roots be established in my divine word and everlasting truth. As you mature and grow you become stronger, settled, and established in Christ, Lover of your soul. Grounded in an unrivaled fellowship and boundless love.
Trust me today. When distractions, unrest or doubt prevail, I am with you. Cease from feeble attempts to control the globe of your world. Become established through abiding, resting and trusting. Walk with me daily My Beloved. Abide.
Love, The Father
Scripture for Today
“Now it is God who establishes and confirms us in joint fellowship with you in Christ, and who has anointed us empowering us with the gifts of the Spirit “(2 Corinthians 1:21 AMP).
“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in union with Him reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin, having been deeply rooted in Him and now being continually built up in Him and becoming increasingly more established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude” (Colossians 2:6-7 AMP).
