When in battle protection is a good thing. What is your defense in the conflict?

The armor of God is a always a sure defense against Satan’s schemes.

So why do I neglect to suit up?

Maybe circumstances in life are rocking along with no bumps in the road. But then, suddenly the storm brews and hits like a hurricane threatening everything in it’s path.

Yes, Satan is roaming like a lion seeking who he can devour. Then pounces out of nowhere.

Unprepared for the onslaught, my guard down. God’s grace coming to the rescue once again. But yes, then don my armor.

I have a dear friend in Sunday School who always starts her day putting on her armor of the Lord. A good practice for all us children of God.

Scripture for the Day

“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him that strength which His boundless might provides. Put on God’s whole armor the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies, that you may be able successfully to stand up against all the strategies and the deceits of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:10-11).

See Ephesians 6:10-18 for the whole armor of God. You don’t want to miss out on His vital provision.

Prayer for Today

Father, we come to you today. So many of your loved ones are in a battle. Wild fires rage in the west. So many affected by COVID-19. And many desperate for your touch, guidance and love in their lives. Be with each Christian in Afghanistan and other countries where persecution is certain. Please supply each person wanting escape with a sure route. Strengthen your church and each one of us. Hear each cry, oh Lord, and answer speedily. Thank you for your armor you provide and help us to against all strategies of the devil. Amen.
