My Beloved, the world is dark as threats abound. But My Light illumines the darkness.

Pray for My Light to reach the darkest corners where there is no hope. And for those who suffer daily with no end in sight.

Let compassion rise in your heart for the hurting world.

Pray with renewed fervency that My Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And that justice will reign, ending oppression.

My Light breaks through the clouds of principalities and powers of this present darkness.

Be empowered My Child to do My Will and to walk with Me in My Light. Be aglow, a blaze burning bright with My life-giving Spirit.

Surrender to My Will, My Beloved and carry the light of My Truth into the dark.

Rejoice, for I have overcome the world.

Love, the Father

Scripture for Today

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6 KJ21).

Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12 KJ21).

Prayer for the New Year

Father, we pray for all who suffer in all parts of the world. We ask that your light without shadow would shine into the all the darkness. At times the chaos and problems seem too great. But Lord, You are greater. We thank you for your grace and mercy that are new every day. Lord, thank you for empowering us and enabling us to do your will and carry your light into the darkness. Amen.

“Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen.” ~ John Wesley
