God’s light is a beam from the heart of a believer. The Christian brings light to a hurting world as his heart once received light Christ’s salvation. And that same Glory shines as we live and move and have our being in our savior. As we Abide.
Scriptures for Today
“You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves” (2nd Corinthians 4:5-7 NLT).
OR
“For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves merely as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God clearly revealed in the face of Christ.
But we have this precious treasure the good news about salvation in unworthy earthen vessels of human frailty, so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be shown to be from God His sufficiency and not from ourselves” (2nd Corinthians 4: 5-7AMP).
Two scriptures from different version included because I really like the one that says we are clay jars. 🙂
