Give thanks with a thankful heart. Thanking God is easy when things are looking up.

But what if your facing a mountain right now. Or maybe you are grieving the loss of a loved one. Being thankful just isn’t easy sometimes.

Jesus, our Savior already knows. He made us and He knows our frail human frame. He came so that we might transcend the mountain through His grace.

Jesus knows about your worry and all those emotions we wrestle with in the midst of a storm.

He’s calling you to climb into the boat with Him. His ship never sinks. Our Savior offers comfort, understanding and grace in difficult times.

God has promised to never leave you or forsake you. He is with you every day, all day. That in itself is something to give God thanks for.

God is good. Let go and let Him carry your burden today. Leave those worries at the foot of the cross.

This too will pass. You can’t transcend that mountain without His love and strength. Let Him be your strength today in all of your pain, fear, worry and weakness.

God is with us Always

Quote

“You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you. It is easy to say you believe a rope to be strong and sound as long as you are merely using it to cord a box. But suppose you had to hang by that rope over a precipice. Wouldn’t you then first discover how much you really trusted it?
― C.S. Lewis, A Grief Observed

Scriptures

” casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]” (1 Peter 5:7 AMP)

“The Lord is near to the heartbroken
And He saves those who are crushed in spirit”
(Psalm 34:18 AMP)

Prayer

Father, I pray for all those who are suffering with worry, fear, anxiety or grief this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Help them to release their burden into your capable loving hands. Comfort their hurting heart. Lift their spirit as you surround them with your loving presence. Amen
