Finding Gratitude

Sometimes finding gratitude takes effort. The search for the positives like trying to find treasure without a map.

Perhaps work stress is on the rise, or the wolf is at the door with difficult financial strains. And other emotions like loss or grief demand our attention. Our psychic search for the silver lining in dark clouds is a mining excursion without the proper pick ax.

Yet there is always good.

God promises to be our comfort in the depths of grief. Or God may whisper an answer to your lonely, silent prayer. A reassurance that He always listens and is always nearby.

One tiny step toward God may illuminate the darkness and shed light on the good.

A focus on simple positives can lift the spirit. Once again, just for today, the scale may tip to the positive and outweigh the negative.

What is your strategy for finding the silver lining in cloudy skies?

God’s Whisper

Come My Beloved. Enter into My loving presence. Come, taste and see that I am good. Seek Me first and My kingdom and all will be added to you.

Praise me in the depths of your need. Ask me to open your eyes once again to my goodness and the good things I provide.

Let me guide you in the darkness and provide light to your path. Take a step toward Me, My Beloved, and feel my all-consuming love for you. I am for you, not against you. Step toward Me an walk with Me today.

Love, the Father

Scripture for Today

In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
    he saved me from all my troubles.
For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
    he surrounds and defends all who fear him.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
    Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him
“(Psalm 34:6-8 NLT).
