Life takes turns and unexpected detours. A careful plan now upset.
Life, like a roller coaster, throws us this way and then another. Change comes unexpectedly. Suddenly. What next?
God will either catch you or teach to fly as you’re thrown out of the safety of the coaster’s car.
But God knows. God cares. Perhaps the detour was necessary. Part of God’s plan.
Thankfully He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. We can find our rest in Him and guidance for “what comes next.”
God’s Whisper
Come, my Beloved, into the temple. Join Me in My omniscient loving presence.
Let the issues of life fall away into My care. Seek, inquire and find Me in your confusion and the turmoil that threatens.
I hold you, My Beloved, in the palm of my hand. Talk to me and let me engulf you in loving kindness and joy.
Pray that My will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and in your life.
Unexpected change and difficulties crop up out of nowhere. But I know. I am with you. I have been by your side continually.
The confusion surrounding the detour is temporary. Understanding the change will come as we forge ahead. Trust Me. Look forward to new growth. New opportunity.
The plans I have for you are good, to give you a future and a hope. Keep your eyes fixed on Me, My Beloved. I have overcome the world.
Love, The Father
Scripture for Today
“One thing I have asked of the Lord, and that I will seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life,
To gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock.” (Psalm 27:4-5 AMP).
Prayer for Today
Father, we come before you today. Unexpected detours have disrupted our lives. Confusion abounds. Gratefully, we seek you. We cry out in need of direction for your will and the power to carry it out. Uncertain of the new direction, we ask for Your Divine Guidance. We come to dwell in your temple, your presence, and your beauty. Hide us now in the secret place of your tent. Revive us, oh Lord, as we surrender our will and our lives to you, once again. Amen.
