Do you ever need refreshing in your spirit? Maybe you are working too hard and your mind is weary.
Okay. I admit I need refreshing in body, mind and spirit. My job requires each nurse to take call and see patients on what would normally be a weekend off. Extra nurses’ notes, home visits, phone calls. Demands.
Sound familiar? You may not be a nurse but can relate to the extra demands. Too many things to do in a limited amount of time.
When I’m weary I hit the sack early and say a simple prayer. “God, my life is out of control. Will you restore sanity to my life?”
He answer is always affirmative…
God’s Whisper
Come to me, My Beloved, with weary heart and mind.
Rest in My Presence for the moment. Then another. Stay with Me. Let the outside world turn without your concern.
Be refreshed and let My Living Waters quench your thirsty soul. My Living Water is cool and satisfies completely.
Bring each need. Name it. Let it tumble downstream into My complete care.
Drink in life, joy, peace, love, patience. Yes, refreshment.
Dive into My Living Waters. Feel the cooling embrace on each cell of your skin. Let the water rejuvenate each cell of your mind, body and spirit.
Come with urgency and expectation of My Faithful Touch.
Praise Me in your emptiness. And as your thirst is quenched.
Pray for a refreshing and empowerment of those who suffer persecution for My Name.
Pray for an energizing of the church.
With My refreshing comes power to fulfill My Call on your life. Lift up your weary head. Rise up and walk. Run your race to My Glory.
At times progress seems slow and my answer to prayer far off. But I never slumber, My Beloved.
Pray for America and the Nations that My Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Love, The Father
When I wake up, all is well.
Prayer for Today
Father, I lift all those who are weary from their world of continual demands. Bring them rejuvenation in body, mind and spirit. Help them to seek You with all their heart and find You. Help them to rise and run the race You have set before them.
Take special care of those who serve You, facing danger daily because of Your Name. Let the church arise in power against unseen principalities in this nation and others. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
Scripture for Today
“O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
And to Your dwelling places.
Then I will go to the altar of God,
To God, my exceeding joy;
With the lyre I will praise You, O God, my God!” (Psalm 43:3-4).
