Choices on the Journey
Choices on the Journey

Choices on the Path. Eenie, meenie, miny mo. How do your make those important life changing decisions? Making difficult decisions is just that: difficult.

Is one choice really better than the other? How will we ever know? One choice negates the other.

Life’s journey often brings us to that cross road. Which way?

Making those life changing decisions requires movement. Attempt in one direction or the other.

I don’t know about you, but my inner conversations seem more like arguments firing off in my mind.

You may have guessed that my life’s journey is requiring possible change and a different direction.

Most of the time my plan of action is prayer and asking for God’s guidance. Next, I ask prayer warriors to pray for my issue and pending direction change. Then action in each direction.

Finally, the waiting game. Which door will God open or close?

Much to my surprise, in the midst of my mental pondering, I read Psalm 25. Certainly, the chapter must have been written just for me. God’s divine answer and reassurance of His guidance.

The verse that really struck home was Psalm 25:12

Over the past few weeks of waiting and searching I find myself once again relinquishing my will and some of those faulty ways of thinking. Hurdles that trip me up and no longer serve me. Choosing His will.

The doors I thought I wanted to open, did not. Okay. God answered my prayers once again.

And I ask for His will and the strength to carry it out.

The path ahead is “Yes” to His will and “Yes” to His ways. Accepting the gifts and abilities He has given and using them to His Glory.

Scripture for Today

"Who is the man who fears the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worships Him with submissive wonder]?
He will teach him [through His word] in the way he should choose."(Psalm 25:12).

FYI, Psalm 25 in it’s entirety is great.
