A Devotion for Today: Called to Pray

The front porch beckons in the cool of the morning. Cheery flowers greet in a splendid array of colors and blooms.

Birds visit the feeder satisfying their hunger with a tasty nugget.

Chaos threatens in the world beyond. Injustice and hurt and pain abound.

What can one do to make the world a better place?

I am reminded that I am weak but He is strong. Yes, and He loves us.

Prayer changes the circumstances beyond our control. as we pray to the omnipotent loving Father of peace, love and grace. Pray without ceasing in unison with other believers. America cries out for God’s almighty touch.

Prayer for Today

Father, we come before you today imploring you to send a great awakening to the many lost souls who are hurting and lost. Send ministering angels and mighty workers to each demonstration. Bring peace and understanding to the offended and those who offend. Shine for your light and truth. Help us to rise to your call to prayer and deed wherever we are needed. Bring salvation to those who are far from you.

Scriptures for the Day

^“Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer;” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 AMP).

^“And the smoke and fragrant aroma of the incense, with the prayers of the saints (God’s people), ascended before God from the angel’s hand.” ( Revelation 8:4 AMP).

^“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” (James 5:16 AMP).

God’s Whisper

Come to the Garden of My Presence, My Beloved. Come with urgency as the chaos clamors on all sides. Threats abound. Pray with urgency. Without ceasing. The prayers of a righteous man avail much. Feed on my word that is food for your soul, spirit and mind.

Come and feel the sunlight on your face and in your heart. As you come feast on My Word. Take in the vital nutrients my word provides for your hungry soul.

Just as the birds come to the bird feeder, feast often and frequently at my banqueting table.

As you come, know that my heart delights in you, My Beloved. You are a precious gem created in my image. I am perfecting all that concerns you. Trust me in the chaos.
