a blustery day in the vineyard

A blustery autumn day in the vineyard detaches dried leaves. The wind travels in unseen currents as fallen leaves scatter this way and that.

And the faded brown grass is neatly mown between the worn trellis rows and newly dormant vines.

The light breeze is cool, and refreshing on my exposed cheeks. But higher than normal temperatures persist. Welcome rain is in the forecast, promising moisture to the dry, baked ground. Perhaps the drought will end.

The autumn season heralds change in the vineyard. The days shorten as the sun’s rays take loner to reach earth. God’s divine timing continues to rule in our imperfect world.

What is the Holy Spirit wind bringing you this season?

Is there change in the blustery breeze? Does the new season conjure fear or regret? Or perhaps a new adventure awaits?

Whatever season you find yourself, may God bless you.

God’s Whisper

My Beloved, come and abide in the new season.

Welcome the change that comes, knowing I am with you always. Fear may rise in your spirit as conditions reel out of control. But as you trust me with all your heart and take the next step, faith will rise and overtake apprehension.

The unknown juncture approaches, the unfamiliar on the horizon. A beckon from me to move ahead with me trusting in the plans I have for you.

Love, the Father

Scripture for Today

“For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP).

Prayer for you Today

Beloved of God,

May you trust God in the change of season and all that is before you. I pray for peace and wisdom concerning decisions that weigh heavy. May God bring hope into your future as His plans unfold. Amen.
