Morning has broken like the first morning. A new day awakens.

God paints a new master piece for us once again. A reminder that He has the whole world in His hands.

Thankfully I’m up early to witness the intense oranges and variegated pinks through my bay window. New and different each dawn.

What are the wonders that lie ahead today? Maybe a sun kissed, cold winter day with the sun ascending high in the blue sky.

Will I notice God’s touches as He guides my day?

Hurry and worry can steal the awe. Slowing my pace might be the best approach.

And I can let go and let God will all those cares that fill my mind.

As the sunrise awakens the day, may my spirit be attuned to the beauty around me, and God’s gracious touch throughout the day.

How will you enjoy this day that the Lord has made?

Prayer

Father, be with us on this day that you have made. Remind us to take time to enjoy the beauty around us. From the rising of the sun to the setting. Help us to slow our pace. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven in our lives this day. Amen.

Scripture

My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.

9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
Psalm 57:7-11

God’s Whisper

Walk with me today my beloved. So often you run ahead. Tarry with me as the sun awakens the day. Tarry in my love and presence. Worship me in simple thanksgiving. This is the day that I have made. The Father
