John 15 is full of marvelous truths for Jesus followers. He is the vine, and we are the branches. He supplies all we need, as we rely on Him. In John 15: 16 He tells us that He chooses us and so much more.

Chosen by our Beloved Savior. What an awesome reality amid a cold, cruel world. A foreign thought in the world’s scheme of rejection, never enough, and abuse all around. Yet Jesus chooses us and rescues us in His grace, mercy, in the grand scheme of salvation that reaches out to a needy humanity.

He chooses us and plants us in the Family of God to be care for and nurtured for all eternity. And He doesn’t just plant us. We are appointed and placed purposefully according to His will, to bear fruit and keep on bearing fruit. Those individuals we lead to the Lord and minister to in His name, will remain—in Him. Then, the icing on the cake, is that we can petition the Father for those requests that seem impossible, and He will answer our call.

What a generous, loving God we follow. And such deep promises to ponder in the truth of this scripture.

He calls us His own and seals us with the Holy Spirit. Then we are enabled to serve Him and glorify His name in all we do.

And to top that off, He promises to answer our prayers.

What an awesome God we serve.

Scripture for Today

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name, as My representative, He may give to you” (John 15:16 AMP).

Prayer for You Today

Beloved of God, may you realize the depth and height of the Love of Christ that chose you and planted you so that you might glorify Him. May you bear the fruit that He has appointed you to bear. Amen.
