Today I’m grateful for mud puddles in the drive from overdue rain.
And wet grass underfoot with a fresh touch a green. Proof of revival often unseen.
I’m grateful for squash blossoms from fall spent vines. A new recipe of soup as I stay warm inside.
The sun’s rays shine through clouds of gray. A touch of warmth in the cool, windy sway.
Trees drip drops suspended on leaves. The dust is quenched on this October day.
The cool air chills my heat tolerant skin. I’m grateful for autumn once again.
I’m thankful for pumpkin spice lattes that warm from within. Yet another reason to embrace the chill of the season.
I’m thankful to God for His loving touch. And mercies and grace that are new every day.
Scripture for Today
“You made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set” (Psalm 104:19 NLT).
Prayer for Today
Father, we ask for rain in due season for those areas that suffer from drought. And be with those who continue to suffer the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. We are grateful for your faithfulness in every season of our lives. Thank you for your mercies that are new every day. Amen.
