Christ gives us gifts that we might serve him. And we serve and awesome God who created the church to grow and be unified. One God, one savior one church. Unified in a vast diversity.
The vineyard exemplifies the church. The branches, the congregation. All extended to provide a harvest to lost souls.
Each branch unique. Separate, yet unified in love by the God who created, sought and saved each one.
God tenderly gives each person his story. He gives each individual a magnificent talent engineered to work in unity with others. The church edified and built-up to ultimately reach lost souls. Yes, to God’s glory.
God’s adorned gift in each soul demands expression.
The giftings manifest as we abide in love, clinging to the Lover of our soul. Each one essential, indispensable in bringing the light of Christ to a dark hopeless world.
A love that cannot be contained, but given away through the varied gifts to the Glory of God.
Scripture for Today
“Yet grace God’s unmerited favor was given to each of us individually not indiscriminately, but in different ways in proportion to the measure of Christ’s rich and bounteous gift. Therefore, it is said, When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive. He led a train of vanquished foes and He bestowed gifts on men.
And His gifts were varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us some to be apostles special messengers, some prophets inspired preachers and expounders, some evangelists, preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries, some pastors, shepherds of His flock and teachers.
His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints, His consecrated people, that they should do the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body the church, that it might develop until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the full and accurate knowledge of the Son of God, that we might arrive at really mature manhood the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection, the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him” (Ephesians 4:7-8, 11-13 AMPC).
